Get that Jab, Kid!

For almost three years since its detection, Covid-19 virus continues to be a threat to everybody. Our lives have not been back to normal, and it’s not sure yet if when the pandemic is over.

In our country, the Philippines, our government has been doing its best to control the spread of the virus and eventually to put an end to it. According to the Department of health, a big number of the population aged 18 up were already fully vaccinated, some even already had their booster shots.

Last February, the health department of our country has already started the vaccination of minors aged 5 to 17. This is actually a good move because once the children have gotten their shots they don’t need to stay at home most of the time. Some schools in the country also have already resumed their on-site learning but not yet in full swing.

Parents should encourage their children to get their vaccine because it can help them build resistance against the virus. The vaccination of minors has become easier because parents or guardians can bring their children to their Rural Health Units (RHU) to have of shot of the Pfizer-BioNTech, which is the approved brand of vaccine for minors by the Bureau of Food and Drug Administration.

Once the vaccination of minors is completed, this could mean that children can already go back to school and play with their friends. Modular or online learning would stop and the Covid-19 virus will slowly weaken. Children can now continue to enjoy their lives without any threats and restrictions. So go and get vaccinated kids!
