Let’s Be Responsible Dwellers

 Let’s Be Responsible Dwellers

Our Environment is the only place that is best designed for us humans and all other living things to dwell in. It also plays an important role in nurturing our physical body because everything that we eat in our daily life is from it. But due to our greediness our environment is already in great peril. It is now crying out for help.

As responsible humans, it is our responsibility to look after our environment. If you really care for yourself and the future of the next generation, then we should learn to care more for our mother nature. Here are some of the things that we can do to make our environment a better place to live on: First, we should change our lavish lifestyle. The simpler way of living that we have the better that we can protect our environment. For instance, if you need to go to a nearby place to buy something, just walk or ride your bicycle instead of using your car or motorcycle. This way you can lessen the carbon dioxide from the cars that pollutes the air. Second, we should practice organic farming to avoid the use of commercial fertilizers that threatens the quality of our soil. Organic produce are much healthier than the ones grown with chemicals anyway. Third, we should observe the 3R’s (reduce, reuse, recycle). Doing these three things (3R’s) can help us lessen the waste that pollutes or destroy our environment. Aside from that, if we know how to reuse or recycle our old stuff, we can surely save a lot of money. Last, we should follow the existing laws that aim to protect our environment, such as R.A. 8749 or the Philippine Clean Air Act of 1999, R.A. 6969 or the Toxic Substances, Hazardous and Nuclear Waste Control Act of 1990, etc..

We, the humans are made to protect our environment, it is therefore our duty to find ways to better preserve it and not to destroy it. There is no other place where we can dwell and live a good life than on it. So, be responsible. Help protect the environment, our nature, and our only Mother Earth.
